Texas Rangers outfielder Brandon Nimmo is listed as day-to-day after sustaining a sprained left ankle, manager Skip Schumaker confirmed to reporters on Tuesday. Nimmo exited the game early during Texas’ 7-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Arlington.

Nimmo left the contest in the sixth inning after stepping on Ildemaro Vargas’ foot while attempting to beat out an infield single at first base. He was seen limping following the play and was eventually removed, although he initially stayed in the game. X-rays came back negative, according to Schumaker.
Before his departure, the 33-year-old Nimmo went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a triple and a run scored. This season, acquired from the New York Mets in a November 2025 trade, Nimmo is batting .288 with four home runs and 12 RBIs across 40 games.
